There are more bone pommels than I knew! Stuart Needham classified them (see slide), often pommel was found detached/snapped off from blade/handle; knife wouldn't have been bigger than a table knife #baf2017

Ditches important for closing off areas or enclosing areas. These two individuals were buried in a Dutch- one looking out, the other inward, isotope analysis possibly indicating they were placed looking towards the area they came from (East/West) #baf2017
