Inside Out 2: A Commentary Why We Do What We Do goes back to the movies! Last week, we reviewed Disney + Pixar's Inside Out, so we are taking on the sequel. In many ways, this film exceeds its predacessor in the way it portrays psychological functions, and in some ways it detracts. Either way, it is a fantastic film. We once again critique some of the portrayals of psychological processes and also praise the beautifully constructed metaphors. Let us know what you thought about the movies or our reactions to the movies. What BF Skinner Thinks

To Skinner, labeling an untrue danger isn't a "moral failing" it's a Functional Behavior. If the "False Tact" gets the speaker more attention or power than the "True Tact," a speaker will continue to lie when the environment has picked that behavior for survival #behaviorism

a marker drawing of two parents, each with their one child. they are all grotesque by human standards. the parent on the left is missing a leg and is using a prosthetic leg in its place. the parent on the right has a slug or snake like lower half. the parent on the right is also oozing slime everywhere. both parents are holding their children.
the child of the parent on the right says "those guys are freaks!" the child and the parent laugh. the parent and child on the left are silent.

John B. Watson, b. 4/9/1878, popularized #Behaviorism in the United States. #Watson earned his PhD @uchicago.edu in 1903. He believed all people to be born as blank slates - with learning only occuring through the #conditioning of associations to stimuli within our environments.
