It is so meaningful to me that we could go so short of a distance to see a bird that was almost driven to extinction (the Trumpeter Swan) with its mate, the Mute Swan, and that children are playing in this park where we have clean water and air.

I believe this is the same Downy Woodpecker I filmed on the 20th. Note how they use their tails as a ballast…a kind of a third leg.
