A beautiful starling reflection over a lake at Leighton Moss. It was on the tail end of a sunset and taken from inside a bird hide on the nature reserve. The colours in the photo are blue, peach, mustardy yellow, blacks & grey.

A #murmuration of #starlings at #LeightonMoss about 7 years ago. Its shape reminded me of a whale & the reflection was the icing on the cake!

It's very early in the morning and still dark, and this is the view from a Birdhide. Some kind of Marten surprisingly shows up and is climbing on a dead tree trunk, looking straight into the camera.

Sometimes, when you have an early start in a #Birdhide while waiting for first light and the first #birds you get lucky and spot other #wildlife. I'm unsure what it is, perhaps a #EuropeanPineMarten or a more common #BeechMarten? I'm not sure, does anyone know? #BirdsinLatin #Birding

A male and a female European Stonechat, perched close together. The male is already in full Spring/Summer colours, mostly orange and black. Both are waiting and checking out the food... will it be safe to get it? It has a blurry beige background with a bit of blurry reeds at the bottom.

A Handsome couple of #EuropeanStonechats checking out the feeder from some distance. I regularly use a paid bird hide, and the results are sometimes very nice, but good fortune is key.

In my #marathon training days I ran out to that #birdhide and next to it was a little jutting out bit of land that I very stupidly stepped onto to get a view. In the bedquiet times I relive that moment, the land gives, and I fall to my death, nothing to grab on to.
