Two jungle babblers perched on a thick branch, one on the main branch and one on a smaller offshoot. Both are looking up - the first one's facing the camera with its head tilted back, while the second is positioned left to right with its head also turned upward. The beak is somewhat long and dark. The upper mandible is slightly curved down. The bottom mandible is flat the head and the wings are black.
I believe this is a black crowned night heron. Saw him/her in March 2025 in Kolkata, India.
