the code for getting the orientation of a randomly picked traversable cardinal direction is (4+(2- direction index (cw)) ) %4
I think the 4+ is extra if you have a +n4 after, or a proper wrapping modulo function, but now it works I'm too scared to take it out ๐คฃ๐ญ
