🌍 Cape starling (Lamprotornis nitens) The Cape starling, also known as red-shouldered glossy-starling or Cape glossy starling, is a small, iridescent bird native to southern Africa. It has a glossy black plumage that shimmers with green, purple, and blue hues. They are social birds that live in flocks and are often seen perched on wires or flying in acrobatic displays.
