I've been enjoying Apple TV's #ChiefofWar quite a bit this past week.
Has anyone else here been watching, and does anyone have recommendations for books (fiction or nonfiction) that explore this era of Hawaiian history?

Trying to watch #chiefofwar, but Good God... the subtitles. And even if your eyes are glued to the screen, more often than not you need to rewind to read them. Not worth the effort.
