Surely they're not so illiquid that they can't be sold over multi-years closer to NAV?
Be interesting to see how #CHRY (we have a tiny holding) fares in comparison as they seem to be happy to consider a wind-down IIRC.
I just think these managers are not acting in shareholders' best interests.

I can't see #CHRY offloading their entire holding in Klarna at IPO. Ought to be some upside if priced at $15bn. And believe they added to their holding in the recent funding round which was priced at $14.5bn. Would however like to see them use IPO to lighten their load in meaningful manner

Halved holding in #CHRY again. Thanks Santa and sure it'll fly from here.

#CHRY A nice little Xmas present www.investegate.co.uk/announcement...

Halved #CHRY to 5k to bank 18%. Looking for high yield (and not bothered about growth for now tbh) in that ISA to evidence regular income. Struggling right now to find candidates for building up 50k holdings in beyond those we've already got so that's Xmas homework sorted...

#CHRY Klarna hitting the right notes pre-IPO. A big market to tap.

#CHRY Klarna secondary market value is c$15bn as per sources. If Featurespace is also sold for £700m, then #CHRY would have realisable cash of c £255m (£50m cash + £130m Klarna +£75m Featurespace) which means rest of the portfolio is in the books for £220m which is less than BV of Starling alone.

#CHRY More shares changing hands at Chrysalis. My feeling is still that AVI is adding whilst another seller is looking to exit. The last 4 months of the year could be exciting for Chrysalis.

#CHRY I think AVI/AGT/MIGO are not done buying yet. They combined own over 20% of share capital here. Very interesting.

Thanks for reminder.
For 2024 happy see c80th.

I think what would be material to #IPO.L and #CHRY is the Featurespace T.O as speculated in the press. For #IPO that is realosing c£150m in cash vs £420m market cap and it was in the books for £77m.

#CHRY #IPO.L I wonder if the takeover by Visa is not on the table then why are Featurespace so actively sorting out their share capital structure in the last week?

#CHRY Affirm holdings ($AFRM) posted solid quarterly revenue growth and narrowed loss. Shares up 14% post market. It is now a c$12bn market cap. No reason why Klarna can't list for $18bn to $20bn.

I expect to see #CHRY take an uplift on their Klarna stake this quarter.

#CHRY In aggregate they now own over 20% of the fund. They are activist investors and they know how to get management to act in the interest of shareholders. Good sign.

#CHRY so #AGT now own 10.17% and Asset Value Investors Limited own 10.47%. I like their presence on the shareholder register.

Recycled some of the proceeds into a ew pilot position in #CHRY. Chrysalis NAV ballooned during the post-vaccine bubble, and since crashes back to earth, with the discount widening from c.0% to around 44% currently. Recent tweets by @feynzz re CHRY got me interested in this fund

#chry - nice tick up today but still cheap compared to NAV.

Great to see one of marque assets = Klarna doing well.

#CHRY My target NAV is £1.77. I think its totally achievable in the next 12 months. If Klarna IPOs at $20bn and Featurespace is acquired it will provide more than sufficient cash for buybacks which would be further value accretive ( I haven't accounted for the impact of that)

Stars aligning here.

Klarna Profit Soars as Fintech Preps for Potential IPO Next Year Klarna Bank AB said revenue jumped 27% in the first half of this year, buoying adjusted profit as the fintech continues to prepare for one of the most anticipated potential initial public offerings.

www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

#CHRY Klarna quarterly profit soars to $66m as its now targeting a $20bn valuation in its IPO. A $20bn IPO would be a 8p uplift to NAV

#CHRY Big trades being reported now. I believe this is a build up from last week with an ii loading. My guess is AVI buying more.

#CHRY Looks like the secretarial team at Featurespace have been working over the weekend to restructure share structure ahead of their anticipated takeover by Visa.

#CHRY Ofcource buybacks will be value accretive at the current price and could add further to this discount. Obviously still two ifs in crystalising value on Featurespace and Klarna but it looks like the stars are aligning here. Target NAV =175p
Target SP =140p
Looking for 85% upside.

#CHRY we could very soon be in a postition where net cash if £300m vs £450m (mkt cap at 76p). The likes of Starling (book value £258m), Smart Pension (book value £125m), Brandtech (£82m), Deep Instinct (£45m) and other investments worth £100m could all be in the price for £150m or 75% discount to BV

#CHRY
Market Cap £450m
Net cash: £50m
Speculation on Visa buying out Featurespace which could bring in £75m in cash. They are committed to buying back up to £100m with any cash in excess of £50m for WC.
Klarna IPO rumoured to be $20bn in the new year. If true brings in another £174m in cash.
