"You can make whatever decisions you want about your body as an adult, but the brain of a minor isn't developed enough to make those permanent decisions. The science isn't developed enough to undo it if they want to detransition and there's multiple health issues that come with it. We have age limits on consent to sex, drinking, driving, even getting tattoos, for developmental reasons and even then people argue those limitations should be heightened due to the brain not being fully developed until mid 20's. The governor of Puerto Rico is not being a big it, she is giving children time to figure things out without jumping straight to surgery (which you'd be surprised how often they actually are performed on minors, its just something a lot of people try to cover up because they're afraid of people calling them out). Let them experiment with pronouns, names, clothing, etc, first"
