So a friend of mine asked me to develop his roll of Fomapan 100. Sure, no problem. But, when I asked did he shot it as box speed, or maybe he pushed it, I got an answer I wasn't prepared for - "I don't remember anymore, a bit under 100, probably 80".
And now I'm sitting here, not having a clue […]
First film developed completely independently with the experience of an observer once a year ago. I was terribly afraid to load the film into the tank, I was afraid to get tangled in the process.. but everything worked out. Test film from my first youth camera🥰

Negative black and white photo on a roll of Fomapan 200 film. It's still drying, water droplets are visible. The photo on the film shows a landscape, a road, a meadow and a forest in the background. Taken with Pentax MZ-5 and probably Visina 19-35mm lens.
So far so good, one roll done, three more to go!
That was Fomapan 200 in Rodinal 1+50, 7min at 22.5°C.

Four rolls of black and white film (left to right): AgfaPhoto APX 400 canister with a few notes written with black marker, Silberra Pan160, AgfaPhoto APX 100 and Fomapan 200.
APX100 needs 10 min, Fomapan 200 needs 9 min, Silberra 160 is done in 17 min and Rollei Retro 80 in 14 min, all in Rodinal 1+50. No two times are the same, each one must go alone. 😑
I have to stop procrastinating, let's go with Fomapan first.

Film developing stuff - two amber bottles containing the fixer and the stop bath, a developing tank, a plastic bottle with Adonal developer and the camera used to take the photos - black Pentax MV with Pentax-M 40mm F2.8 pancake lens.
Ok, I have a roll of film to develop, so let's do a live-developing thread!
The film is already loaded, it's a custom, short roll of AgfaPhoto APX400; I'll be using Rodinal 1+50 at 22°C to speed up the process a bit and get more acutance.

A single roll of film won't fully exhaust the developer (at least if it's not something like Rodinal 1+100!), there's quite enough to develop at least one additional roll, or even more.

Old, dilapidated house partially hidden behind a few trees, all on the edge of a small lake, reflecting in a perfectly still lake surface. Black & white photo taken on a film.
I know this technique I described in there might be a little controversial, but hey, it works - I've been reusing one-shot developers, diluted Xtol and FX-39, with good results.
