People joke about "ESPN 8: The Ocho" but the brand actually did grow to 7 networks:

ESPN
ESPN 2
ESPNU
ESPNews
ESPN Classic
ESPN Deportes
The Longhorn Network (joint venture with UT)

And the Ocho really became the 8th channel as a FAST stream on Roku and other platforms.
