The 3d printed Artoo dome after rough sanding. It is printed in PLA+.

A first coat of filler-primer.

Sanded down again.

After a few more repetitions of filler-primer and sanding.

Do you have any idea how much sanding and filler-primer was involved to get a nice smooth dome for R2-D2? Let me tell you: a lot! It didn’t help that I printed it 3 years ago in PLA+. Since PLA is really bad to sand. #3dPrinting #droidbuilder #happinessMachine #StarWars
