The superb glass encased Shandwick Stone. The image shows a diagonal view of a large glass box wrapped around light blue-grey internal metal supports. This largely fills the left-hand two thirds of the frame. Inside it is a large Pictish carved stone with one highly decorated face visible. A fence surrounds the box and in the background the ground slopes away to the sea which is visible in the middle right of the frame. The scene is in sunlight.
