The meeting fell appropriately on #WorldCancerDay reminding memers of #EBAF that the diet related prevention elements of the EU Beating Cancer plan remain necessary, but are yet to be proposed by the Commission.

The 1st meeting of the new European Board for Agriculture and food has met, & EPHA has a seat.
We have consistently urged the EU to make its Agri-Food policies serve health, as diet is such a major factor in shaping health & poor diets a risk factor for many diseases.

With 2 weeks until the @EU_Commission’s new Work Programme, we’re asking: 🤔"Whatever happened to…?"
First, Farm-to-Fork. For #AnimalWelfare, only two proposals remain: 🚛 and 🐈.
Instead, focus has shifted to yet more dialogue: heavy on farming, light on civil society. #EBAF
We also hope #EBAF isn’t going to be like other platforms, all talk and no action!
Besides setting up dialogue groups, we expect the @EU_Commission to deliver on its commitments, some of them from years back.
