The image shows the ancient theatre of Epidaurus in Greece, which is considered one of the best-preserved Greek theatres. The theatre was built in the 4th century BC and is part of the archaeological site of the Asklepieion of Epidaurus, an ancient sanctuary. It is famous for its exceptional acoustics, which make it possible to hear a coin dropped on the stage even from the top rows. The theatre could seat up to 14,000 spectators and was used for theatrical performances and religious festivals.
