A Japanese Garden bright with fall colors. We're in the Japanese Garden in Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. In front of us is a brick pathway curving through grass muted with fallen leaves. To each side are dark green bushes, unchanging with the season. A short distance away the path ends, turning left (unseen also turning right). At the turn to the left is a Japanese Pagoda sculpture just peaking over the green bushes. The sky is full of colors from the trees that fill the entire top of the photo. Directly above the Pagoda is a giant bright yellow ginko tree (80'), one of Roger Williams Parks Notable Trees. To the right are multiple maple trees (sugar and Japanese) that vary in size (less than 10' to giant with the tops out of frame) and color (unnaturally bright red, burgundy, to a regular red).
We've had a good visit to the Hudson Valley. We're excited to head home to our own bed and our familiar local park.
I wonder how the colors have faired with the colder weather this week.
