But this isn't 14 fighters: it's "long-lead" *parts*.
Canada is stocking up on parts that would make the existing orders dead equipment if the US decided to cut off the supply. It's smart.

Why is the #UK buying #F35s when its design philosophy does not match the UK methods of fighting as the #Gripen that does not need an airfield ? In WWII the UK tricked Germany as its fighters had been dispersed to ghost airfields in fields and forests.
