18 Things to Do at Leeds Farm in 2024 **Leeds Farm** in Ostrander, Ohio is the ultimate **Pumpkin Farm** experience! With activities for all ages, hayrides, a zip line, pumpkins and tons more, your family will enjoy a day out at Leeds Farm! A big thanks to **Leeds Farm** for sponsoring this post! Leeds Farm is HUGE. If you’re looking for a do-it-all and then some pumpkin farm experience, this is it! On our first visit, I was completely in awe! We knew they offered a lot of activities, but the size of the farm still took us by surprise! We look forward to visiting Leeds Farm each year! I’ve updated this post with information relevant for the 2025 season! Leeds Farm opens for its 31st fall season on Saturday, September 20. The farm is open six weekends only, plus one Friday: October 17. * Fall hours are Saturday & Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. * Early season admission price is in effect Sept. 20 through Sept. 28. Visit the farm early and save $4 per ticket! * Purchase tickets online in advance and save $4 per ticket, plus enjoy express entry when you arrive! Read on to find out all there is to do at Leeds Farm! ## What to Expect at Leeds Farm: Don’t let the size and scope of the farm intimidate you though, because the size actually makes the experience better! We typically visit on opening day, at the same time as the Autism Festival, when there are tons of people there. The fact that the farm is so big and there are so many things to do means that it hasn’t felt jam packed and the lines for activities have not been super long. There are literally acres of space to spread out! One of the great things about Leeds Farm is that there is truly something for everyone. If you have toddlers, there’s the corn bin, animals to feed, pumpkins to pick, and a hayride. If you have active elementary school kids, there are pedal carts, a mini zip line, the pumpkin jump (a big orange trampoline), big slides and more! If you have middle schoolers (or kids 52+ inches tall) and up, there’s The Big Zip Line in addition to all the other activities! A full food menu is also available meaning you don’t have to leave the farm at meal time! And don’t forget to visit The Back Porch for kettle corn! ## Wondering what there is to do at Leeds farm? Here’s a break down of all the things there are to do at Leeds farm! Your admission allows you access to all of these activities except The Big Zip, so you can feel free to pick and choose the activities that are best suited for your kids without having to tack on additional costs. If you have babies and toddlers, keep reading because I will also tell you how to experience the farm without paying for activities your little kids might not be able to do! ### 1. Take a Hay Ride There are three Hayrides going at a time and the hayride lasts 10-15 minutes so the process operates like a well oiled machine! Throughout the ride, keep your eyes peeled for “animals” in the woods! ### 2. Pick a Pumpkin There are lots of pumpkins to choose from and carts available to carry your treasures to your car! The pumpkins are outside the Farm Shop and inside are lots of other gourds, pumpkins and squash to choose from! ### 3. Eat Inside the North Barn is a cafe with lots of food to choose from, from main courses like shredded chicken sandwiches, sausage, hot dogs and chili, to snacks and desserts such as nachos, soft pretzels, donuts, pie and my favorite, apple cider slushies! Don’t miss the Back Porch where the kettle corn is made and sold! ### 4. Feed Animals Kids can feed the animals at the farm and cups of feed are $1/piece. (Cash only here.) My kids loved sending the food down the tubes to feed the donkeys! The feeding frenzy doesn’t stop in the barn! ### 5. Slide If sliding is your thing, you’ve got lots of options at Leeds Farm! There are at least 4 areas where there are slides and they are of varying heights and fear factors, including one slide coming from a combine! ### 6. Jump on a Humongous Pumpkin This big huge orange thing is a trampoline of sorts! It’s called the Pumpkin Jump and it’s tons of fun – I’ve done it myself! Leeds Farm has two Pumpkin Jumps, one for smaller kids and one for big kids. For safety reasons, kids under age 3 are not permitted on the Pumpkin Jump. ### 7. Roll in a Tube Want to roll around in a tube? You can do that too! ### 8. Ride the Pumpkin Express All ages can climb aboard the Pumpkin Express for a trip around the farm! ### 9. Zip Line There are two options for zip lining: The Big Zip Line and the Mini Zip Lines. The Mini Zip Lines are perfect for those between 3 and 4 feet tall! The Big Zip is an additional cost and you must be at least 52 inches tall and under 250 lbs. ### 10. Play in Corn You know this is where my kids spent the biggest chunk of their time when they were younger! Warning: your kids will be covered in corn dust (is that a thing?) when they are done! ### 11. Play in a Straw Fort This is a great play area for the younger kids. Parents can see in, nobody gets lost and it’s a fun space for the little ones to run around! ### 12. Watch Pigs Race Several times a day, pigs are raced around this arena! After a couple of years of visiting, the timing finally worked out for us to see a race in 2021! This was so fun! My kids enjoyed cheering on the the pigs as they raced around the track. ### 13. Drive a Pedal Cart Pedal carts are fun for the kids and your little ones can get pushed if they can’t reach the pedals! This is one of my kids’ favorite things to do at Leeds Farm! ### 14. Climb the Tire Tower A new addition in 2018, the Tire Tower offers lots of fun climbing entertainment right here! ### 15. Ride an Iron Horse Another new addition in 2018 was the Iron Horse Corral! My youngest son LOVES horses so he did not want to leave this area until he had ridden every single horse at least 3 times. 😉 New in 2025: The iron horses are now free to roam around the farm, so keep an eye out for them! The new Low Ropes Challenge Course sits on the spot of their old corral. ### 16. Green Acres Leeds Farm has expanded westward into Green Acres, their newest activity area. Green Acres made its debut in fall of 2021. This new area features: * **The Pumpkin Plunge Slide** for those 42”+ tall and brave enough to plunge down the pumpkin-orange straightaway. In 2022 an additional lane was added to the Pumpkin Plunge Slide which features a 160-foot-long pumpkin-orange straightaway. * **Picture on the Porch** : Take a photo of your friends that will make you marvel at what your eyes can ‘see’ * **Gravity Wagon Basketball & Football** – try shooting hoops, farm style * **Vintage Tractor** – climb right up on 1930s era Case tractor featuring its original pumpkin orange hue * **Tilt Barn** – experience gravity in a new dimension; seeing is not always believing! * **Grain Bin Bar** – treats available at the Grain Bin Bar include Mini Donuts & Kettle Corn All Green Acres activities are included in Admission! ### 17. Play on The Treehouse In the Green Acres area, there is a new addition! The Treehouse was added in 2023 and is a super fun playground area that has a treehouse theme! It’s lots of fun for kids! There’s a fireman’s pole, multiple slides, ropes to climb, a climbing wall and cute house areas to play in! And they have lots of seating around so parents can take a rest while the kids play! ### 18. Take on the Low Ropes Challenge Course The Low Ropes Challenge Course is new in 2025! Test yourself on agility, balance and climbing adventures suitable for all ages and abilities. This new addition is sure to keep the kiddos busy! **How to do it all:** Admission to the farm includes all activities except the Big Zip. When you pay, you get a sticker to wear that allows you access to all of the activity areas. **How to do some of it:** A lot of the activities at Leeds Farm are geared toward ages 3 and up, but that doesn’t have to stop parents of babies from having fun! Or maybe you’re looking for a scaled down farm experience. If so, it is free to visit the animals in the barn (and a cup of feed is only $1). You can also shop for pumpkins, squash, and gourds with no admission fee. Pumpkins range from $2.50 for pie pumpkins up to $15 for the biggest pumpkins. ## **Know Before You Go:** * Leeds Farm opens for the fall season on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The farm is open six weekends only, plus one Friday, October 17. Fall hours are Saturday & Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. * Enjoy express entry! Leeds Farm has a separate admission gate for pre-purchased ticketholders. Save money and time with pre-purchased tickets! Purchase tickets here. ### 2025 Admission to Farm Activities is as follows: * Ages 3-54: Regular season rate: $20 online, $24 at the gate * Early season rate September 20, 21, 27, 28 and * October 17: $16 online, $20 at the gate * Kids 2 and under: Free (Kids under age 3 are not permitted on the Pumpkin Jump for safety.) * Adults 55 and over: $5 online and $5 at the gate * Big Zip: $5 Must be minimum 52″ tall and less than 250 lbs.
