Tiny grey and buff bird with black cap and chin and white cheek is standing on the snow with a chunk of peanut in its tiny beak. Bird looks quite pleased with this treasure.
Chickadees mostly focus on the sunflower seeds, but now and then they snag a peanut from the feeder - what a prize! #birds #FeederWatch 🌿
Head and shoulders portrait of a Sharp-Shinned Hawk looking over its left shoulder with intense orange eyes.
Sharpie, the Party Pooper, was back on the weekend for a visit. Suddenly the yard gets veeeerrry quiet #birds #FeederWatch

House Finches perched on their favorite food, white safflower seed, served up in a red tube feeder.
Greetings and Happy New Year from eastern Oregon to bird lovers and #FeederWatch -ers! Here are some of my House Finches enjoying their favorite food, white safflower seed. Chickadees and sometimes juncos eat it, too. (Squirrels and deer avoid it, fyi.) 🪶
Bird with polkadot belly, black bib, moustache, red nape patch and long pointy beak is sitting on a wooden deck railing while looking up and to its right. There is a bit of snow on its face.
One of my favourite #FeederWatch visitors, the Northern Flicker. Dig those polkadots #birds 🌿

Townsend’s Warbler #FeederWatch #Birds
Good Morning! Two Warblers today, I’m really proud of both of these birds. I have so much video of the bigger yellow rumped warbler chasing the little Townsend’s away. I’m glad the Townsend’s was persistence and they have come to an uncomfortable truce. #Birds

Exciting #FeederWatch day yesterday. First time in 10 yrs of records, we logged a White-throated Sparrow. It was hanging out in a big flock of House Sparrows. Sneaky! (reminder to scrutinize those flocks 🤓)
These two have been regular #FeederWatch visitors so far this season. They clean up spilled seed under the feeders and enjoy a beverage #birds
Unrelated to workout or crochet news, I had a house finch come to my feeder for the first time. It was such a pretty red and Im so mad I couldn't snap that Pic 🪶🤨 #backyardbirds #feederwatch #ebird #backyardbirder #bird #birdwatching #neighborhoodbirds
A silky grey cat sits on a wooden kitchen table beside a pair of binoculars. His back is to the camera as he looks out at blue sky and bare trees, bathed in sunshine streaming through the window.

Bush Tits on the Suet-sandwich feeder. I really like this feeder so far. the squirrels can eat out of the edges of it, but they can’t break it with their teeth (so far) like they did my log feeders that are also brown and look like bark, #FeederWatch

I will post my real review of this feeder in a month. The only reason I love it right now is Squirrel seems to leave it alone. #FeederWatch red breasted nuthatch followed by black capped chickadee. #Birds
some people collect handbags, some people collect shoes I collect suet feeders. not actually but I did buy a new suet feeder and I was worried about the squirrels tearing it apart, so I augmented it just a bit. Watch this flicker do a backward-dive when she is done. #FeederWatch #Birds
