In my effort to move away from hosted services (US hosted in particular) I can REALLY recommend forgejo as a github replacement 🤩🤓💪🚀 It fits into my workflow so well that it's a little scary 😅 Love it ❤️

I really understand why some projects use their own hosted Gitlab/Forgejo.
But as someone who wants to just add some bug reports / feature requests, it's annoying.
(At least most of the time registering/logging in with Github/Gitlab is enabled)
