Taarna's theme by movie composer Elmer Bernstein (who also composed the music for Ghostbusters) was originally meant for Farrah Fawcett's character in Saturn 3, but it was never used so it was used for this movie instead. The songs E5150 by Black Sabbath & Through Being Cool by Devo was never included on the soundtrack album, mostly because of license issue. There was legal difficulties surrounding the use of some songs in the movie which delayed its release to VHS in 1996. It has great suspense & watching this part at night in a dark room would most likely make you a bit scared or at least jumpy. Originally the monsters in this story was gonna be Gremlins (not the Joe Dante movie version, but more like the one from the Bugs Bunny cartoon), but they changed it to zombies. It would have taken place between the Captain Sternn & the B-17 story & the plot would have been about how #locnar influenced the #evolution of life on Earth through violence & anger. The soundtrack for this segment was planned to be the song #time by #pinkfloyd It's a damn shame this one was cut because it looks awesome, the movie is technically 1 hour & 15 minutes long & this segment is only 3 minutes, they could have easily included this segment as well! At least it was included on the 1996 VHS release & it was included as a bonus feature on DVD, plus on the rough cut of the movie this segment is included.
