The Governor of Arizona has issued a State of Emergency for the #GreerFire, burning in Apache Co, as the fire surpasses 20k acres. This fire began on May 13, 2025 and was driven by wind pushing it E-NE.

#Greerfire is currently at 39% containment! Fire lines continue to hold (1.5 miles from my son’s home). Over 500 crew members have made incredible progress. Complete respect for the job they do at all levels. Hoping to see some evacuations lifted soon.

Greer fire 1.5 miles from a home in SW Eagar.
#Greerfire has now grown to 12000 acres. The sheriffs office allowed my son and his wife back in briefly to grab a few things. The view from their home is harrowing. Very grateful for the crews who are fighting this fire.
