If you have left over veg and herb seeds why not just mix them all up and plant in a window box or tin, and harvest when they are sprouts. That way you get a lovely sprout mix to put on salads. This one is fennel, dill, parsley and basil.

A big red rotavator at the bottom of a steep slope of freshly dug ground.

Looking down a steep field that's been freshly dug over. It's rough ground with dead bracken. A loch, hills and blue skies in the background.

A victorious croft day. Finally fired up the 'new' rotavator. Brutal on the steep slopes. Kept getting fangled with brambles & bracken, It kept running away when it was supposed to stop! But the soil is lovely, & all the dead bracken is now mulched in.
