I've read Mania by #GuyNSmith.
Like it usually is with him, a good idea meanders and gets lost in weird and illogical sequences full of needless violence and gore, and kind of finds its way again at the very end. A readable piece of horror pulp. Could have and should have been much better.

Silly, frustrating, batshit crazy, with a slightly disappointing ending. Pulp fiction I love to be angry at.

It was really good! Some good ideas in it. Too bad they were so incredibly short and only ten of them, but hey - I liked it.

#JustRead Sabat 2: The Blood Merchants by #GuyNSmith. It was really good, surprisingly complex for good old Guy, but silly as always. Better than the first volume. I had some pulpy fun with that book.

Finished Thirst by #GuyNSmith. A decent, slightly apocalyptic SF horror novel, although a little too long and with too many characters. I had some fun with it though.

Yesterday I finished my second book in 2025. It was Deathbell 2: Demons by #GuyNSmith. The usual schlock by good old Guy, a little worse than the first part. But I liked it.
A 6.5/10.

Re-read my copy of Night of the Crabs, bought new in 1976! So much fun. Despite paper-thin characters, the brief story zooms past, even skimping on the details of the epic battles between giant crabs and the army! Not often that I want a book to actually be longer.
