A four panel hand drawn comic.

1. As the smoke clears from Eagle-1's support, Timmy John Helldiver slides to a stop behind the Scorcher. The only opportunity Timmy might get, they swing their AR-23 up into hip firing position and squeeze of a 'BRRRT' into the Hulk's cooling vents. Pops and hisses reach Timmy's ears as the cooling structures are damaged.
2. Yet, it's not enough. Before Timmy can completely destroy the cooling vents, the Scorcher wheels on its mechanical struts and begins to charge. The nozzle at the front of the beast's launcher begins to spill a small trail of fire with a 'FSSSH' as the weapon warms up to spray a deadly burst.
3. With no immediate options left, Timmy lets their Liberator fall and pushes themself off the ground and backwards from their last standing position. From their right thigh comes their Senator, lining up to take one lucky shot. Sights trained and the milliseconds running out, Timmy squeezes the trigger. 'CHK!'
4. 'KSHCRACK' The 12mm bullet leaves the barrel and meets the glass eye shield protecting the Scorcher's optics. Piercing through, nothing gets in the way of Timmy's shot. Through metal, CPU, and out through cooling vents... Time almost stands still. Timmy and Junior hang in the air. A small burst of fire from the Hulk's nozzle peters out. The shot is good. A charging beast is stilled.

1. Code inputted, the stratagem ball Timmy John Helldiver dived with is now thrown. It sails from behind Timmy's point of cover and out in front of the destroyed fabricator. Support is inbound from Eagle-1 with a payload of smoke cover.
2. Jets burning hot, our support in the sky dives in and releases the smoke pods. On the ground, the entire complex is visible and in particular, two silhouettes. Timmy is the smaller of the two, and they're rapidly moving from their dive position to a better position. Their legs are carrying them around the fab ruins. The scorcher finally gets their momentum in check and scans around them. Unbeknownst to it, they're in for a blinding.
3. 'CRUNCH CRUNCH' screams the snow under Timmy's boots. Half way to where they want to be, Timmy is running around the fabricator when they hear the 'SHOOOM' signalling Eagle-1's tail end of her run. An instant later, the smoke pods deploy their cover with a cascading cacophony: 'CHNK CHNK CHNK'.
4. Coming to a stop behind the Scorcher, Timmy looks up at the heatsink coils on the back of the mechanical monstrosity. This is Timmy's best chance to bring this thing down.

1. Smoke from the ruins around the complex drifts into the air and dissipates. Timmy John Helldiver stands in the middle of a fading smoke billow. They lower their right arm that they'd just used to shield their helmet and look to find what caused their Gatling Sentry to erupt in shrapnel.
2. Large, imposing, and with target acquired, an Automaton Hulk Scorcher makes themselves known. "KSHGUUNN" growls the monstrosity. It sees Timmy and its priorities are locked in for extermination. The pilot light on the flame belcher attached to its right shoulder clicks on with a 'TSHOOW'.
3. In a split second, Timmy swings the MG-43 around from behind them with the help of their shoulder strap. Left hand under the barrel to support the weapon, Timmy squeezes off rounds. Bullet ricochets ring in Timmy's ears as each bullet of the volley 'TING's off the Hulk's armor. A calculated maneuver and with it, the Scorcher gets in range. The Belcher clicks into operation and a low 'FWOO' builds.
4. With nary a second to spare, Timmy launches themself away from where they just stood in a dive to their right. The Scorcher barrels forward with their momentum and engulfs itself and Timmy's last location in a 'FOOOOSH' of hot clouds of flame. As the dive carries them right, Timmy clutches a stratagem ball and taps in a sequence. It's going to be close, but this plan has to work.

1. The cacophony of explosion and stratagem landing blur together. The frag Timmy John Helldiver had thrown just moments earlier secured a swift disassembly for the fabricator. The bots inside were put to an end and soon, the others would be as well.
2. Raising up from its pod, the A/G-16 Gatling Sentry starts hurling up bullets. All blasting down range at the bots that the fabricator had just spit out. The triple barrels spin in circles and each deliver a load in sequence. A stream of casing eject out the back and down behind the sentry.
3. 'KADOOSH' and the Sentry is ripped to shreds. Parts fly at Timmy and an arm raises up on instinct to defend their head and helmet. The mangled barrel assembly falls to the ground as the ammo crate that once supplied it tumbles by. As unspent rounds spill out of the broken feed mechanism, the last vestige of working mechanisms pull themselves down into the pod and belch out a brief plume of smoke.
4. As the cold Choepessa winds blow through, the smoke dissipates. Each horrifying detail comes into view bit after bit as the mechanical menace of an Automaton Hulk stands behind the sentry's destruction. Scanning through the debris, it utters a loud 'GNUUUUN' as challenge. Complications just arose.

a blue-skinned cyborg with two five-fingered metal arms, modeled after super earth prosthetics, and a steel helldiver helmet, fused to his face. He is covered in what may be oil or coal dust. he is wearing a grimy t-shirt that may have been white at some point, and a blue jumpsuit, the upper half of which is tied around his waist. He is looking off into the distance, seemingly somberly.

1. Timmy John Helldiver is now reunited with Junior and the mission now has renewed purpose. Rather than Revenge, this is now a message to not mess with the Helldivers. Climbing out to the edge of the lower level, Timmy peers out at the landscape unfolding in the Automaton complex. As the bots alerted, the fabricator in the objective starts kicking out more steel. The fuel silo looming behind everything is the objective proper.
2. Needing another distraction to take out the fabricator, Timmy inputs a code into a stratagem ball and its light flickers on a mighty blue. Lobbing it over past the waiting bots, Timmy sends a call for an A/G 16 Gatling Sentry.
3. Now, as the stratagem is being deployed, Timmy reaches around to his utility belt and grabs a G6 Frag. Clutching it tight and gazing at their unnatural position, Timmy can only hope that this frag nails its mark. Thumbing the pin from its place, it's time.
4. With a hurl, the grenade soars through the air and up towards the vents on the fabricator. In a stroke of Liberty Luck, its angled just perfectly for a bounce off the other vent and down into the first one. It bangs around into the inner workings with a boomy 'KNGLNK'. One problem down.

1. In a moment Timmy never imagined coming, they gaze over at the opposite side of the small trench. Sitting atop an unassuming dais next to a box of scrap, sits a small backpack tank with a subject inside. Peering from within is... Timmy John Helldiver Jr....
2. Stepping forward and pulling the tank up to visor level, Timmy stares inward with disbelief. It's Junior! From despair upon finding the smashed fishbowl, to the determination to make the Automatons pay... Timmy never guessed that it'd all lead to taking Junior back in their arms.
3. With bubbles and swirls of glee, Junior equally expresses their glee to see their owner once more.
4. Swinging the tank around, Timmy fastens one, two, three, annnd four of the clips onto dedicated fasteners on their breastplate holster. Each sounds off with a 'CLICK' of security. A promise that Junior is not leaving Timmy's back until they can secure a pathway home. It's time to leave the trench... Tackle the bots that lay just above... Time to finish the mission with hope renewed.

1. A G-6 Frag grenade, standard to most SES Destroyer armories, begins a journey through the air. Its pin falling past the arm of Timmy John Helldiver. This is the start of the attack. Timmy's half-way point from the hill in the form of a rock cluster is now being left behind.
2. Stage complete is marked by the frag grenade landing by the fence barricade and tearing it to shreds along with the bot that had been stationed at a nearby posting. Smoke billows up as a chain was started by the frag, a distraction and obstruction that Timmy uses to their advantage. MG on their back, they dash past the fence and into the automaton complex.
3. From their reconnaissance minutes earlier, Timmy noted a blind spot over a wall just past the fence. While what waits on the other side could pose any number of threats, Timmy resolved to tackle it first to ensure all threats were known to them and taken into account. So, with a vault, Timmy descends to the other side of the wall. Smoke billows behind them as they fall and obscures a figure further into the complex.
4. Threats were what Timmy planned for but nothing was waiting to take Timmy's life. Timmy turned to take the exit up and back into the complex, but stops. They had to make sure. What once was a plan for revenge now comes to a halt and Timmy falters as they gaze in front of them.

1. A view from afar cast over an Automaton outpost. The destination that was marked on the map now is in view.
2. From the hilltop, Timmy John Helldiver combs the outpost through the scope of their Liberator. Canvasing to assess and make mental note of as many threats as possible.
3. Reconnaissance complete, Timmy crouches and then jumps over the lip of the hill. Their cape billows for a moment behind them before following suit as the weight of the MG on their back pulls the fabric in.
4. A commissar on station at a turret surveys the snow in front of it. With each bluster of the wind, a few flakes of snow whip past its metal casing. In the distance, some 50 meters beyond the bot's vision, a silhouette slides down the mountain with a trail in the snow appearing behind them. Their course is taking them to the perfect piece of cover to make their advance.

1. Timmy stands up from the rock they'd just been leaning against. Their mind is clearer and the snow that had begun to pile up has been shaken off. They still hold their left shoulder. A quick move to staunch a fresh dribble of blood from their wound.
2. The flow stopped, Timmy John Helldiver shirks their early misgivings and injects a CURA stim into their neck. The liquid injection enters their bloodstream with a small 'FNCHSSSH'. It'll put a stop to the wound and get Timmy back to combat readiness.
3. In the delirium caused by the wound and snowstorm battering their body, Timmy had dropped their Liberator and other gear as they walked up to their shelter. Motivations now clear again in mind and stimulant coursing, Timmy gathers the gear beginning with their AR.
4. A small click precedes Timmy's map glowing up off of their forearm mounted display pad. The view screen is panned over to its target... A large Automaton outpost a bit further away. This is the objective. The goal is clear. Marker is placed.

1. The outpost is quiet. The fabricator is obliterated. The stationed guard is reduced to scrap. Timmy John Helldiver sits on their knees and leans over the body of the Devastator they just pumped full of lead. Smoke billows and snow whips against it.
2. We're looking over Timmy's shoulder. We can see the quiet husk of the Automaton. The damage dealt to them was enough to take them out. Yet Timmy isn't going to be walking away unscathed. Underneath their broken left shoulder plate is a wound that's leaking blood at a slow but steady rate. Obscured by Timmy's cape, Timmy works on the Automaton.
3. That work is revealed now and is in the form of a new hole in the Automaton's central carriage. Underneath the peeled back metal are various systems, of which one Timmy has plugged their datapad into. Several things crawl and fly by on its display. Of note are the coordinates now extracted from the bots memory banks and the latest weather alert. The mission's changing... and for the worse.
4. Timmy stands, still clutching their wound. They stare beyond the viewer's gaze and past the limits of the outpost. Somewhere out there lies their next target. What once was snow whipping now comes in droves after droves. The blizzard has settled in.

1. The stratagem beacon has its payload called and on the way. It's three seconds to impact. Three seconds before a fresh and deadly MG-43 is at Timmy's disposal. Three seconds to avoid the devastator's fire. Bolts of energy blast overhead and Timmy readies to return fire with a 'CHNCHNK' of the bolt on their Liberator.
2. 2 Seconds successfully passed. Timmy breaks away from the safety of the outpost walls and lets out a hail from their Liberator. Most ricochet and some pass by harmlessly. All save for one that finds its mark and rips through the left elbow joint on the Devestator; severing connections and stunning the monstrosity for a moment. It's not a clean hit though. As Timmy's making their way to grab the MG, one final bolt crashes through their left shoulder plating and draws a spray of blood. The Automaton curses out, "01000101 01010010 01010010 01001111 01010010".
3. A plume of smoke, dirt, and snow covers Timmy's dive as they land behind the rising deployment pod. Snow whips on by and the Automaton lets out a data stream that almost sounds like a chuckle; "01000001 01000011 01010001 01010101 01001001 01010010 01000101 01000100". As the debris from the landing settles, the pod closes its compartment and reveals...
4. Timmy John Helldiver, machine gun in hand. Charging handle primed and left hand atop the receiver to stabilize against what is about to happen next. A soft click faintly rings in Timmy's ears before a cacophonous 'BRRRRR' engulfs all other noises. Explosions exiting out the muzzle break fill Timmy's immediate vision and glint out the scope just below their face plate. May these bullets find their mark.

1. Plans have to adapt. As the smoke trail from the Commissar's flair trails up and fades into the sky, Timmy John Helldiver dives behind the entrenched walls of the Automaton outpost. Their left arm swings in front of them, already clutching an soon to be programmed Stratagem Ball. As their shoulder thuds into the snow and dirt beneath them, Timmy's fingers tap away at their stratagem pad. Closing in from the distance is a silhouette.
2. The silhouette zooms into a hover over the encampment. It's a dropship and as the snow whips by it, one of its carrier arms extends out and releases its payload.
3. Snow crunches beneath Timmy as they roll over to reposition themselves. The now programmed stratagem ball flies from their hand and into the snow in front of the diver. It springs open and while the data stream is transmitted, the beautifully democratic blue glow starts shining. MG-43 Machine Gun requisitioned and inbound within 8 seconds.
4. Timmy's adversary is deployed. An Automaton Devastator looms in the middle of the outpost as snow whips by. Is one stratagem enough to successfully adapt?

1. Snow blurs past an Automaton Brawler. A glint in its mechanical photo receptors marks its communication with those in its cadre.
2. A hail of bullets is marked by a loud roar of 'BRRRRRCHNK' as a volley is squeezed off. The Brawler splits along its midsection with a 'KERCLUNK' of metal rendered in half. Oil gushes out from where the bot's midframe once was and is accompanied by everything above the torso falling alongside it.
3. The Helldiver behind the freedom dispensing is none other than Timmy John Helldiver. Their next target acquired, Timmy whips out their P-4 Senator from their sidearm holster and aims it down range. Their sights lined up with a bot off panel, Timmy squeezes the trigger slightly as they still their breathing.
4. But it's too late. As the 'KERCRACK' report of the Senator firing one of its rounds rings out, the Commissar begins to fall. Their elbow mounted reinforcement flare launcher smoldering in the cold snow. The crimson red glow of that infamous automaton reinforcement beacon launches into the sky and promises Timmy's mission is now in more jeopardy than ever.

1. A Hellpod streaks diagonally across the sky. It and distant cliffs are silhouetted by the sun setting. Night is beginning to creep in above the small pod and soon all will be in darkness.
2. With deadly and earth denting force, the Hellpod collides with the ground. An eruption of dust, exhaust soot, and snow bloom up into the air around the pod.
3. Within minutes the pod is vacated and our protagonist sets off towards a valley. Timmy John Helldiver is but a small distant silhouette at the end of a trail of footsteps.
4. At the precipice into the valley, Timmy pulls out their map pad and scours it before turning to peer around at their surroundings. Confirming the area to what is displayed on the map and assuring themselves of where they're headed, Timmy's mission begins in earnest.

2. Wasting no time, Timmy steps onto the hellpod plate and is wisked down into the pod with a 'shhwooCHNK'.
3. A tablet flips down in front of Timmy as part of a larger instrument and readout module. Details confirmed, Timmy punches in their loadout on the hologram to the projector's right. Above, an emergency hatch eject lever sits as well as a status screen for mission time and landing ETA. Lastly, on the left are three indicator bulbs that communicate launch status. The HOLD and DIVE indicators are dark while the abbreviated TUBE CLEAR indicator shines bright.
4. Timmy raises the tablet into ready position and sirens blare above before the pod is launched out of the Destroyer. Curving away from the ship in orbit, Timmy's pod blasts through the upper atmosphere. The mission is just around the corner.

1. Timmy John Helldiver steps out from the door frame of their broken home and into the rain cascading down from above. Smoke billows in the distance, a sign that in some places the rain is the saving grace of so many blazing homes.
2. Now on a mission to uplink with their destroyer, Timmy comes up to an overlook where their map marked a Pelican had landed. As the rain battered down, lasers and gunfire were exchanged between a group of SEAF soldiers and the automatons that encroached on the landing site. Things look grim, but Timmy can change that.
3. A moment of dire straights as the SEAF reload their weaponry and run out of spares is the opening an automaton takes to charge the group. Panic descends as the soldiers look for anything to save themselves. One screams out, "HELP ANYO-", before a loud CRACK rings out and a bullet wound in the automaton's head smolders. A "HUH?" of astonishment echoes out of the mouth of one of the soldiers.
4. As the Automaton falls forward, the silhouette once hidden is revealed. Timmy stands with their Peacemaker smoldering at the barrel; evidence they were the one to dispatch the bot. As reverence and awe sweeps over the group of SEAF, the reality that Timmy isn't just a caring individual but a Helldiver with a proven record is clear. The rain cascades down over Timmy as motions begin to get the Pelican in the air. A new mission awaits.

3. The hidden object is revealed as a piece of sparking and popping machinery. Starting a scan on the data pad, Timmy turns the sample over slowly in their hand. Slots lie open as the back emits a small trail of smoke to accompany sparking wires.
4. Tossing the sample aside, Timmy turns their attention to the data readout on the pad. Signature of the sample is verified and links the machinery to a faction highlighted by box and bold lettering: "AUTOMATON". One piece of data confirmed, the data pad runs into a wall. On board data insufficient to perform scans, galactic sector and planet of origin return as "UNCONFIRMED". Total pattern analysis has failed and the data pad begins scanning for an SES Network Connection. A mission directive and a promising lead now sit in Timmy's mind. "SES UPLINK REQUIRED."
