Jimin didn't quite know how to answer that question. The artistry, money, the attention, were all big drivers for him. But he had another reason too. "It's kind of tough to explain because I have a lot of reasons." "Like what?" "Um, it's," Jimin's words trailed off into a void. "I noticed this about you yesterday, that you're a little reserved." Seokjin said, letting his alpha mode slide into the discussion. Jimin nodded. He thought back to the first time he had seen someone dance with silks. "The first performer I saw, he was so graceful, pretty, and I loved that he could make money doing something he loved. And, well," He bit his bottom lip and blushed ever so slightly. "What?" Seokjin asked, softly. "I probably shouldn't say. It wouldn't be appropriate." "Jimin you'd be surprised the kinds of things performers have told me during interviews, and anything you want to keep between just you and I will stay between you and I." The alpha explained. He hoped Jimin would understand, because he had zero desire to reveal the secrets he had been told from the people he had recruited. Some had escaped bad living situations, were recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, some had been sex workers in terrible establishments. "Oh." Jimin said. The blush on his cheeks dissipated almost instantly. Just as he and his friends had warmly welcomed Seokjin into a safe zone, the alpha was doing the same for him. "He was hot. Insanely hot. Like I wanted to be wrapped in those silks with him even though he was so much older than me. I needed to be that hot." Seokjin chuckled. He leaned forward and set his elbows on the desk. "That's it? I tell ya, you definitely achieved your goal. I thought you were going to eat me alive."

Flirting while on the job would get him into massive trouble, and he didn't know Jimin well enough to be able to gauge how he handled being flirted with in a professional setting. "Anyway," Seokjin started, while letting his eyes look sideways for a split second. "What do you do for work right now?" Do I dare say it? Do I? Jimin stared at Seokjin's face. His eyes had softened, they were inviting, gentle and sweet. Safe. I dare. Jimin mentally challenged himself. "I'm an exotic dancer for Slick." "Oh then you know my friend Katarina." Seokjin said pleasantly. Oh my god. "I was picking her up the other night actually." He was there and I totally lost my shit. Oh fuck what if he saw all of that? "Oh yeah? Yeah, Katarina is really nice. Are you, uh," Jimin shut himself up faster than an ass could pucker while going down a rollercoaster. "Am I... what?" Seokjin looked side to side, confused at first, and then it hit him. "Am I dating her?" "Erm, uh, ye-, no, I should shut up." "No, but, who's interviewing who here?" Seokjin shouted in a playful manner while laughing. Jimin laughed too, but not as much, for feeling embarrassed. "She's just a friend." Jimin's face was a mixture of emotions, amused, embarrassed, anxious, and Seokjin could read all of it. "Jimin are you okay?"

Summary: The legend of Seokjin's cafe started in hunches and whispers, but now it’s a fact: if you want to find love that lasts, you go to RJ Cafe. The effects are most potent on the fourteenth of the month or the full moon, but everyone who spends time in the little pink cafe is guaranteed a boost in the romance department. Everyone, of course, except Seokjin himself. No one has come close to challenging his popularity until Jimin opens a cafe directly across the street. His coffee and teas have their own magical reputation for soothing everything from writer's block to broken hearts. With his livelihood on the line it's time for Seokjin to study the latte art of war and take out his competition.

Pink fairy wings on a pink backdrop, the poke out from the right side of the frame, golden like and sparks drip from them.
“Hyuuuuung,” Jimin pouts even harder. “Why do you have birth control pills?!” “Because I'm not taking any chances,” says Seokjin stubbornly. Jimin frowns, popping up to sit on the kitchen counter, pink wings fluttering. Seokjin watches the resulting cascade of tiny, glittering fairy dust sparkle before dissolving in the air. Seokjin is still slightly mesmerized by Jimin’s wings, never having lived with a fae before. He does his best not to stare. (Which, admittedly, he doesn't do a very good job of it.) “But you don't even have a uterus…?” Jimin says through pouting lips. “So? I'm living with a magical baby fairy,” says Seokjin, really wishing that was an exaggeration. “Unplanned pregnancy is NOT on my bingo card this year.” Jimin huffs crossing his arms. “It doesn't work like that!” he grumbles, petulantly. “I make babies! I won't fertilize your non-existent eggs!”
