The super sample rock tends to be a light gray splatch with some darker edges at the top left and some shading at the bottom right. Study it on the mini map as you spot it before the icon appears over it.
Someday, I am going to have to put together my Super Sample Rock Finding Guide cause the mini map pattern is consistent enough to spot though it's not always clear depending on the terrain. #Helldivers2 #JustHelldiverThings
