In June 1978 Dire Straits released their first album, Dire Straits. I remember going f to the record shop with my dad when he bought the LP. I absolutely loved it! Three weeks later I was given the tape of the album for my 11th birthday. Boom! I played it endlessly!

Having heard Banned from the Roxy on the radio today, tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is Stations of the Crass. The opening chord of the opening track, Mother Earth, still makes the hairs on my arms tingle. Other delights include The Gasman Cometh, Heard Too Much About, Chairman of the Bored. Love it!

Tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is Coldplay’s second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. You can feel the influence of Parachutes with tracks like Clocks. This album also contains my favourite Coldplay track, Green Eyes. This is before it was fashionable to hate Coldplay. When did that actually happen?

Tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is Led Zeppelin IV. The one with the iconic album cover (see alt txt). One of the best selling albums of all time and widely lauded. Playing it tonight reminded me how much I dislike it. I’m not into a lot rock genres especially the folk-based stuff. I’d keep three tracks.

This evenings #KitchenClean 🎶 is Paul McCartney and Wings 1973 album ‘Band on the Run’. Macca’s third post-Beatles album finally saw him deliver. Several of the singles are instantly recognisable, some of the other tracks far less so. I particular like ‘Picasso's Last Words (Drink to Me)’.

Tonight’s #KitchenClean 🎶 is one of my all time favourite albums. #Coldplay’s first album Parachutes. Released on my bday in 2000 I was like a teenager again playing it endlessly. The consecutive tracks Spies, Sparks and Yellow make up superb trilogy in the first half of the album. #music #Coldplay
