A sous-vide immersion heater set to 107°F stands in a plastic tub filled with water. Two black chemical bottles labeled “Blix” and “Dev” sit in the bath, warming up for film developing. The scene looks half like a science experiment, half like kitchen improvisation.

A bowl of beef ragu and vegetables with walnut pieces

Every now and then me and my partner do #kitchenlab, experimental cookery. Tonight ragu with walnuts, vegetables with pine- and walnut infused oils, and a cheese board with all the trimmings. We'll have lots of leftovers. 😋
