so i take my old, nearly crippled dog into the smartest vet i know because all the "specialists and experts" told me she'd be dead within weeks and here we were going on year #2. he says to me "i've looked over everything you sent. i have no idea how she is still alive, i have no idea how she's still walking" (albeit with help from a sling) "keep doing hwat you're doing, i can't help you but please collect your two free kittens on the way out" those two free kittehs were Daphnis (tuxie) and Gordie. Gords is one week older than Daphnis. Both attached themselves to Chai (the dog) the moment we got home and didn't detach until Chai had passed 11 months later.
Daphnis, named after the rock that orbits (and MADE) the keeler gap in saturn, and GordieMeow, named after the great hockey player because she is so calm and mellow, on #HedgeWatch
