A startling fairy-tale horror #movie, #KRYPTIC starts like a weirdly confusing 'Blair Witch' meets 'Little Red Riding Hood', before turning into a Cronenberg-style Ginger Snaps. Whatever its medley of sub-genre (and Sam Raimi?) influences, this is very good feature-debut from director #KourtneyRoy.
#kryptic made me so uncomfortable for a good ten minutes towards the end.
Dont take that as a good thing. It's bad-uncomfortable.
It felt like the director was trying to create something similar to antichrist with a lot of alien porn vibes.
I would recommend it to an enemy, but never to a friend
#Kryptic has to be one of the worst horror drama films I have ever seen.
The plot was weak, and the attempt to be "artsy" went amiss. By the end credits, me and my friend sat in silence for a good 60 seconds before both saying, "What the fuck was that?"
