The #Lashunta have no qualms about depicting gods looking like themselves, though with added features that would fit in among the ancient Indians or Greeks.

Lashunta Word of the Week
Mauzuroeo (/mɔːzu.rɔ.e:o./l neuter): honor-feather; individual military merit award

This is a military honor granted for individual bravery or prowess in battle, as opposed to a ~tamauzuroeo~ - honor-fan, which is a meritorious combat award for a military unit. The distinction’s origins lie in legends from the ancient Age of the Warrior-Queens, when a queen would show favor to a warrior by plucking a golden feather from her crown and giving it as a token. Lashunta queen crowns were traditionally made out of gold and jewels to resemble a headdress of phoenix-fowl feathers (lashunta historians speculate that during the prehistoric Age of Legends, tribal queens wore crown headdresses of actual feathers). The recipient may receive a cast golden feather, which they may wear as a badge.
This word occurred in last week’s Chapter 30, in which Lady Vaeol recommended to Master-Captain Dosuaesh that her flagmates Kaure, Erymi, and Oshis should receive honor-feathers for their deeds at the Battle of Saeoel’s Mound, in which they led the right-flank charge that broke the banethings and led to their defeat.
Another related word is ~Mauzuano~ - five feathers. This is the highest military award given by the city of Qabarat, typically for an outstanding act of heroism involving saving the army or the city…and more often than not requiring the sacrifice of one’s life. The word’s origin implies a system of graded awards, based on the number of feathers included.

In Starfinder i can legitimately draw fantasy folk with cyberpunk gear. Halflings with laser pistols. Cyborg dromaar wirh a borg eyepiece. I'm going to love this game.

Then we reached the Ofu and came into the heartyard, where Holoru, Zhotheiu’s proud and broad child, spreads its boughs. We marched underneath and arowed sharp before the Matrons’ Hall. There we hailed under the gathered matronhood and near cityfolk while Master-Captain strode forth, bowed, and forquoth our warfare homecome.

Only after he spoke did I see Lady-Mother and whom she held abreast: Aeosel my son and Lanaryel Remaue’s daughter standing beside. With a smile, my mother set her grandson’s feet aground and let them both run, which led straight to our shotalashu’s forepaws. Remaue and I both sidled steeds. While she helped her daughter clamber up, I swooped knee and arm, caught my son, and lifted us both upright, where he sat my shoulderdish. After the Matronhood sang welcome and bequeathed leave, I handed him to Oshis his father (who soon got bidden childwatch when all his children swarmed) while we headed to the Citadel.

Lady-Captain heard us after a swift bath, though she had already heard yesternight from Captain Dosuaesh. Yet the war-rede lasted longer than forethought, since she bade us reeves each speak our leeds. I faltered telling how we had bereft Master Aeos from Captain Ashi and the Hanata. Lady-Captain thoroughly inseeched this thing, but for which she chided neither Lady Ilyoel nor me. Yet she spoke this wit: ~O’nae-eriae hihokiaem Hanazhyanara,~ - “We must surely again deal with Hanazhyana.”

Then she asked what beweighed all minds: ~Dei Aslanta hada saelathara?~ - “Did the Aslanta wreak the woetide?”

To my shock, all looked to me. I shaped grim answer: ~Vehaeathya o’diahi doloshim,~ - “We cannot unheed the likelihood.” I added they had already meddled with the worldgate, and further proof: the ~hyumanza butsu~ sandal. ~Niroae Shaealisseru himi,, o Qolaryonru,~ I deemed: “The birthspring beckons to Blue-Queen - Golarion.”

I've been agonizing over a Damaya inspirational post. It's not that there isn't lots of content out there, almost the exact opposite. There is almost too much, and most tends to abuse my reasonable suspension of realistic disbelief, whether in implausible armor design or exaggerated...bodaciousness.

The Damaya are the stateswomen, captains, and knights of their society, descended from legendary warrior-queens and sage-queens. Along with their Korasha brothers, they partake as defenders, scholars, philosophers, and psychic miracle-workers. They are not sitting back and rearranging their scarves and bangles while they send the Korasha out to slay three-ton salamanders and bring back bon-bons. They are out there, on patrol and in the fight. While they may lack the Korasha's muscle, they have no problem slipping around the flank and knifing a kidney, sniping arrows from the rear rank, or simply riding a Shotalashu into the thick and knocking everyone over. I need an image that captures that vision.

While I have an appreciation for artists like Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo (though less so), who established the vision of Edgar Rice Borough's works, for my vision for the Lashunta and Castrovel, I have found their works unsatisfying. Although their works faithfully portray ERB's stories, the Lashunta are not part of that story. Those works hold too much of ERB's Damsel-in-Distress syndrome. The female protagonists tend to cower, and if they have a weapon, it's a dainty dagger instead of a sword, axe, or spear. It's not appropriate for a fully empowered, entitled, matriarchal culture of scholar-warrior- stateswomen. I want more for my Damaya.
Also, I feel sorry for Dejah Thoris. A lot of the recent derivative comic and graphic-novel portrayals have just gotten ridiculous.

So this pic is the best I can find right now. I will keep looking. If others have suggestions, please let me know.

...I've also speculated of the Thriae having a presence on #Castrovel. As monomorphs they are wholly dependent on other species' males. What would they do to bring a #lashunta korasha male to their queen?

...There may be one #lashunta twist not copied in human myth: the practice of ~Emoldia~ - father-sharing. In ancient times, queens exchanged haremmates, reasoning that their child would thus become kin. What if the lashunta myth involved a similar exchange, not of females but of males?
