So this is a reminder to you #LeafGreen / #FireRed noobs out there, MAKE SURE to catch and level up a Pikachu from Viridian Forest as soon as you can. Just don't use it against Brock in Pewter! 🤣 Yes I picked Bulbasaur, but Starmie's Swift and Water Pulse do a shiz ton of damage, lol

After 56 hours I finally cleared the elite 4! Took me about 5 tries and it was a hella close finish, with my Blastoise juuuuust hanging on to deliver the final water pulse on Gary’s Arcanine to secure the win!

Had a fun time beating my record run in Leaf Green at 10:39 with a type run and fun naming convention. I will say I forgot how TM dependent you are for moves. If I didn’t have surf it would have been water gun or hyropump. Overall, a fun blast from the past.
