What is the best yarn for socks? I found a loom specifically to knit socks & thought that'd be a good skill to have. I've just never knitted socks so not sure the best yarn to use. Any constructive advice is appreciated. #LoomKnitting #KnitSky #CraftSky #Knitting #socks

Made some last minute changes because my bind off was too tight, so I sewed that shut to make the bottom instead.

I need to stop Doom Scrolling. Im trying to decide on what will be my next #LoomKnitting project but Im stumped for ideas. Im getting tired of socks, booties, slippers, gloves and hats. I am debating if I should start yet another 10 Stitch blanket. However, they take a crazy number of skeins.

Two partly made socks in shades of blue. One is on a mini circular needle and has a slip stitch rib pattern with ending in a sort of Celtic knot on top of the foot. The other is on a purple sock gauge loom and is a helical stripe with grey and varigated blue yarn, it is fo a much larger person.

WIPs on needles and my new loom. A cunning plan: when my hands get tired and I need to have a break from knitting socks…. I can knit socks!!!
The loom is fun. Super fast for stockinette but a bit of a faff for purl, there must be a better way?!

First attempt at melt the ice hat and it’s child sized!! #LoomKnitting obviously I need to use more pegs so now my loom is 80 pegs. I think there should be some regular knit rows between some of the decrease rows. Anyone have tips?? 🧶 #Knitting Trying again!!

I’ve finished my 3rd pair of Vampire Lestat socks!

I developed the VL stitch pattern for my 1st pair, using 3 mini balls of purple yarn to minimise floats.

Well it's done!! 45x60 is the finished size. Im gonna bank on at least 360hrs of work. Will I do it again? Probably not. I'll probably stick to the 10 Stitch method to make blankets. I am pleased though with it. Perfect blanket to snuggle on the sofa with. #LoomKnitting #LoomKnit #FiberArts

I think the yarn is fingering weight (size 1) cotton/nylon blend, & I used an adjustable sock look with 60 pegs. It's an older KB sock look with metal pegs.
