Set shop_materialpath as partition attribute. Houdini will encode the SOPs material path into the GeomSubset name. And then we will use this encoded name to rebuild the LOPs material path.
I still prefer to build all the main stuff in SOPs and then shape it however I want in #Houdini #Solaris. Here's my recent snippet to quickly move materials from SOPs to #LOPs. To make it work copy over the materials into a Mat library and set the shop_materialpath as Partition attribute. (alt txt)
