These were taken in the parking lot for the trailhead to #CapeFlattery, the western most part of the #lower48 states. It’s on the #WakahIndianReservation in #Washington. Just driving here was quite the exercise—and then came the hike!

There are five areas defined in the continental US: Seattle, San Francisco, Pike's Peak, the Mississippi River, and New York. Hawaii, which is rendered as a similar series of blobby islands in a small rectangle beneath the Lower 48 states, has honestly been given short shrift: we feel much more positively about Hawaii and its equally neglected position on standard US maps, and really it should also have been rendered in high res detail while reducing the continental United States even more. :) This is still the BEST MAP I HAVE EVER SEEN. :D
