Depuis sa sortie initiale il y a plus de cinq ans, cette app développée par Iconfactory propose une relecture moderne de l’Aide-mémoire toujours intégré à macOS. Il ne s’agit pas de remplacer une app aussi complète que Notes d’Apple, mais plutôt de proposer un espace où jeter quelques mots et phrases ou encore idées que l’on veut garder sous la main. Une mise à jour majeure est désormais disponible, avec de nombreuses nouveautés. Tot 2 en action sur le Mac. Image MacGeneration. Même s’il n’est pas possible de mettre en page une note, on peut maintenant l’organiser avec des séparateurs visuels. Plusieurs styles sont proposés, du simple trait sobre aux traits entrecoupés de points. Toujours dans l’idée d’améliorer la lisibilité du contenu stocké dans Tot, l’app propose d’utiliser des paires d’emojis pour créer des listes de tâches et repérer visuellement le statut de chaque élément. En touchant l’emoji, vous le basculez pour indiquer qu’une ligne est complétée ou au contraire à faire. Plusieurs paires sont proposées par défaut et vous pouvez aussi créer les vôtres. Tot 2 peut également indenter automatiquement les listes, pour mieux les repérer dans une note. Des raccourcis clavier ont aussi été ajoutés pour augmenter et réduire les indentations, ce qui permet d’utiliser l’app pour réfléchir à un plan ou organiser ses idées. La liste de nouveautés est encore longue, vous pouvez la découvrir à cette adresse. Notons notamment une nouvelle icône pour le Mac, qui s’adapte automatiquement en fonction de la couleur de la note active. Iconfactory propose Tot gratuitement, mais avec des limites sur les fonctionnalités. Un achat in-app unique est proposé pour lever ces restrictions et accéder à toutes les fonctions : comptez 22,99 € sur le Mac et sur l’iPhone et iPad (ce sont deux achats séparés) ou encore 1,99 € sur l’Apple Watch, puisque l’app y est aussi disponible. macOS 14, iOS 17 et watchOS 16 sont nécessaires au minimum. L’interface n’est pas traduite en français.
