A regular pentagon inscribed in a circle was drawn with compass and straightedge, colored with watercolors emphasizing the construction lines. There is a smaller red circle on the left and half circle on the bottom, and a larger blue arc along the top, with the bulk of the pentagon shaded in green.

Each pair of circles is interlocked in what’s called a Hopf link. Each point on the sphere corresponds to a circle up above (sitting in dimension 4, visualized here in dimension 3). I move a set of points on the sphere to look at all the circles sitting above.
