The gents' outfitters on the left is no longer in Trinity Street. The grey shop frontage in the middle distance is Heffers, a wonderful bookshop: long may it survive. I think this one is sold.

every year i think i can hear the #MayBall, but every year I think I live too far away (> 2 km, as the crow flies).

But it can't be a coincidence that there's loud dance music playing immediately after the fireworks, right?
