“Highly motivated” Roselle Park looking to bounce back as key skill players return A big focus in preseason camp for Roselle Park in 2025 will be making sure the Panthers' line play is secure. Both sides of the ball have seen some key graduation losses, but head coach Greg Dunkerton figures if they can get that group set, the return of some key skill players will allow them to flourish. One of those who will see an increased role this year will be Mike Aguanno, who had a bit part in the offense a year ago, with just four carries and one catch.

St. Joseph-Metuchen won the division in 2024, but struggled down the stretch, losing its last four regular season games and in the opening round of the playoffs after a red-hot, 5-0 start.

2025 Big Central Preview: American Silver Division The only division in the Big Central in which every team has qualified for the playoffs each of the last three seasons, the American Silver Division is no joke. Every game is a battle, and the crossovers aren't exactly easy either. And yet, no one won fewer than four games last year, while state Group 4 finalist Phillipsburg didn't even win the division.

Expectations are high in Flemington as Hunterdon Central returns depth, veterans At a big school like Hunterdon Central, every program should be flush with student-athletes, but at times, the draw of specialization in youth sports has chipped away at that, in schools large and small all across the country, let alone New Jersey. But one of the big plusses of being a head coach at a school for nearly a decade - and living in that community - is that you've now seen nearly a generation of players come through from a very young age.

What do you do for an encore? In Phillipsburg, the answer is “Keep winning, beat Easton” They got that elusive sectional title, the one that dogged them for two brilliant seasons in which they beat arch-rival Easton. 2024 didn't see them beat their cross-Delaware River rivals for the first time in three seasons, but they did bring home a state sectional title, became the first Big Central Conference team to represent the league in the state group finals' third season, and were the Central Jersey Sports Radio Team of the Year.
