However, leaves and photosynthesis aren't the only traits that Flowerwolves share with plants. They also share similar reproductive methods. Seeds are hidden among the thick hairs on their heads and tails. And the pores of these hairs form a fine pollen that is released into the air by the wind or simply by active movement. This is how cross-pollination occurs. As the seeds ripen, they become heavier, and this is how the Flions know it's time to plant them. Because of this method of reproduction, Flions do not form family pairs and experience no feelings of attraction or love. However, fellowship and friendship within the tribe are very strong. Friendship groups formed during apprenticeship often last a lifetime.

Retaining the characteristics of their plant ancestors and being creatures of the spirits of the Sun and Moon, Flions are divided within their species into Night and Day types. There are no fundamental differences between them. Day Flions are more agile and have a smaller flower on their tail. Night Flions are larger and stockier, and have a more pronounced scent.

Anthropomorphic creatures inhabiting a world somewhat similar to our own. Flions possess traits of both animals and plants. They live in tribes, choosing settlements that offer at least minimal natural protection. These can be islands in lakes, secluded caves, isolated oases, or the tops of centuries-old trees. Their skin is often various shades of green, and leaves grow in various places on their bodies. The main features common to all Flions, regardless of their habitat, are: -Pear-shaped body shape: the shoulders are narrower than the hips. - Large hands with four toes and feet with three. Pads are found only on the feet. - A "flower" on the head and tail (except for desert Flions). - The ability to photosynthesise. - Leaves that can grow anywhere on the body. Their skin has a velvety texture rather than fur, and their hair resembles burdock flowers.

Apprentices are what all adult Flions have been. Having left the Garden, these young minds are eager to explore the world and learn new things. But they also tend to be playful and frivolous, so they are not allowed to leave the settlement until they reach a certain age. Walking the streets, you can often find young Flions forgetting their tasks and playing games with each other. But the teachers are happy to give them a little free time to have fun. Some of the apprentices choose a profession to learn while still in the Garden, eavesdropping on adult conversations. Others try out a variety of skills before finding their passion. But ultimately, they all choose their own path.

The southern part of the continent is occupied by a vast desert. It seems that nothing but dry thorns can survive under the scorching sun, and life is most active at dusk. There are virtually no large predators here, and water is considered the most valuable resource. It is here that the Desert Flions reside. They build their settlements near rare flowering oases or rivers flowing through the desert. In the absence of active large enemies, they have no need to defend their homes, so their sandstone huts can be spotted from afar. Desert Flions are highly skilled at crafting jewelry and items from copper and gold, which are more common in the desert. The tribe's peak activity occurs during Twilight Time, when the heat of the day subsides. During the day, locals often shelter in the shade of the central building, which receives water, filling a shallow pool. Due to the intense sun, many members of the Desert Tribe have never experienced the need for food, so their desert cuisine consists primarily of fruits that sometimes grow on plants near bodies of water. #openspecies #originalspecies #oc
