This bug doesn't affect Swift files, unfortunately otherwise I doubt it would have gotten through to release build status. It would be surprising to me that a "flipped bit" is causing this issue.

This bug also impacts Xcode 26.0 Beta.

In #Swift, it's easy to get error messages wrong. It's due to a design flaw in the "Error" protocol introduced for #ObjC compatibility. I've seen people write below code all the time. I fixed it in #ErrorKit: Conform your errors to "Throwable" instead! 💯

A Mac OS X Tiger screenshot. Xcode 2.5 is open with a project. Perfectly normal, not at all weird Mac OS X Tiger-era Objective-C.
