A weathered, two-storey barn stands at the edge of a gently sloping Swedish meadow, its once–deep red wooden planks faded to streaks of grey and its steep, corrugated-tile roof speckled with pale green moss. Three small, square windows - two on the ground floor and one above - are divided into four panes by narrow, white frames. Leaning against the barn’s side is a sun-bleached wooden ladder, and beneath a simple lean-to a few old planks and farming tools lie forgotten. Long grasses, tipped in gold and russet by the soft morning light, sweep across the field, while low shrubs and twiggy bushes border the meadow, casting gentle shadows. Beyond them, a line of slender birch and pine trees rises into a pale, cloud-streaked sky. The air is cool and still, carrying a faint scent of damp earth and pine, and the quiet is broken only by distant bird calls, giving the scene a timeless, peaceful hush.
Roaming around in early mornings through the Swedish neighbourhood.
