"Femme Accroupie (Crouching Woman)" was created by Pablo Picasso in 1958. It is currently part of the permanent collection at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas.

Artistic Style and Analysis
Created during Picasso's later years, the work reflects a "distilled synthesis" of the female form that merges his Cubist foundations with the expressive colorism of his mature period.
Facebook
Facebook
Subject: The figure is widely identified as Jacqueline Roque, Picasso's second wife and final great muse. Her presence in his late work often represented themes of fidelity and emotional stability.
Composition: Picasso used intersecting planes and a triangular facial configuration to construct the figure, a recurring element in his formal language that conveys both order and sensuality.
Technique: The painting features vigorous brushwork and abstracted shapes, moving away from literal likeness toward a more "totemic" embodiment of emotional constancy.

The map is being painted 🎨
And the artists? The people of #Nepal. 🇳🇵
At this point the election map looks less like a dashboard and more like a #Picasso masterpiece — chaotic, creative, and impossible to replicate.
Truly a work of art that only Nepalis could produce.

.One of my favourite Picasso paintings is his 'Weeping Woman' from 1937.

The very centre of the painting is completely white, as the woman covers her face with a handkerchief.

Just as death drains colour from the human body, so war drains colour from the human experience.
