A square image of soft, bare trees on the Oregon coast. The trees are silhouetted against a background of a warm, mottled wood tone. This is the result of the acrylic transfer process, which involves printing the image on cheap copy paper, coating it with several coats of acrylic gel medium, soaking it in water for several minutes and then slowly peeling the paper backing away using a finger. You're then left with a semi-transparent acrylic skin which can be applied to another surface. In this case, the surface is wood.
