Is the New pfSense PPPoE Driver Much Faster? Lower CPU Usage? YouTube video by Sheridan Computers

Tested the new if_pppoe driver in pfSense Plus (open-source firewall).

Ran fast[dot]com, an ISO download, and a VPN transfer.
My line is only 1 GbE, but the results are in:

IPv6 does not seem to be working on PPPoE interfaces since 1.3rolling This is probably the same issue as IPv6 does not seem to be working on PPPoE interfaces in the 1.4 nightly builds but I think I have more specific, detailed info in this post. Pppoe does not get ipv6 address but I do get ipv6 prefix delegation I’ve tried this on v1.4.2 and a recent rolling release ( 2025.05.21-0020-rolling ) and see the same issue. I’m pretty sure I used to get an ipv6 on pppoe1 when using v1.3.X a while ago but that was with a different ISP. This issue could be the same as IPv6 does not seem to be working on PPPoE interfaces in the 1.4 nightly builds but there is no solution for it there? not critical, but mildly annoying that ipv6 almost works completely proper with VyOS and PPPOE for me.
