In this piece of 16-color IBM VGA ANSI art, the Protoweb logo, consisting of the name in capital letters preceded by a colon and two forward slashes, is rendered as a bubbly graffiti tag over a splash of dark magenta with red highlights. Beneath this, a ship from the Age of Sail sails through outer space, with waves cresting in the same colors as the logo, towards the planet Earth, with Africa, Europe and Asia in view.
Months ago, I did a 90s-style BBS splash screen for protoweb.org! Today, it made its public debut at @why2025.bsky.social's Demoscene Village hosted by @field-fx.party, winning 1st in Graphics! All aboard!
