Cartoon. A person sitting in a garden with a cup in their right hand. Thought bubbles: What a lot of thinking gets itself done in the garden over coffee! I must get a bigger cup for this coffee.
Another thought from the Autumn chapter (page 212 in the Virago 1980 edition) of “Spinster” by Sylvia Ashton-Warner. #coffee #garden #thinking #pukapuka
💙📚🇳🇿 #booksky #pukapuka if you’re wanting a fantastpic female horror author to fit with celebrating female horror authors then I recommend this author. My library doesn’t have Brother sadly but I’ve read her other ones and they’re amazing. Didn’t even bother checking the blurb for this book.
Te Reo Māori: The Basics Explained
by David Kārena-Holmes
is also available as an ebook and audiobook

Info graphic showing I read one book of 272 pages in February. It took me 5 days to read it and it was titled That’s a great question I’d love to tell you by Elyse Meyers. It is a non fiction digital book.
Finished my book for February. It was ok, I don’t know much about the author but a friend recommended and it was an enjoyable short read. Kinda reminds me of Jenny Lawsons style of writing. Back to my series for March #pukapuka
Elizabeth Knox writes where the sacred bleeds into the waking world. She builds dreamscapes that are also argument, theology and longing. She reminds us that in fantasy, we may ask the questions that daylight makes too dangerous. Book covers of Dreamhunter, Dreamquake, The Vintners Luck. The Love School and The Absolute Book.

#booksky #pukapuka 💙📚🇳🇿 what happens when you make a Faustian deal for the perfect life 11months of the year, for one month of your babies being total terrors? Who will you sacrifice? What will go wrong? Loved his last book Oracle 5/5, Echo, not so much.
I’m currently really enjoying an audiobook (fiction, cosy mystery genre I’d say) written by a NZer, set in NZ, but it’s narrated by a Brit.
Ugh why?!?!

Call it a mordant, literary crime novel about love, family, nostalgia, and obsession.

#booksky #pukapuka 💙📚🇳🇿 have a feeling this book is gonna be creepy and make my skin crawl… I read Butcher last year which was really good. Can’t remember why I chose this book out of her multitude to read next. I think it’s gonna be an uncomfortable read like The Melting
