A work-in-progress mandala art doily lies on a black desktop. To the left of the doily is my 2.75mm crochet hook which has. Wolf handle and silver metal tip. Slightly visible above the doily is the cake of yarn showing the gay pride rainbow the finished parasol will possess.
Still working this new pattern for tonight’s NLCS game. Hope it’s half as good as last night’s game. ⚾️
The blue color is sneaking in to my work now.

A work-in-progress pastel purple doily mandala lies on a black desktop with a golden 3.5mm crochet hook at the bottom right and the pastel rainbow yarn cake I’m working from at the top center.
This is a custom order from Ogden Pride of a pastel rainbow All Flowers pattern, but in 48” rather than 30” or 35”, with curved arms, so I’ll do the math to add tension on the outer rounds. I’ll add 3 more rounds & block it tonight.

A crochet mandala lies on a black desktop. This mandala is in what I call “snowflake stage” which is in no way a technical term. At the center this mandala is dark pink and at the edge it is light pink. White, light orange, and dark orange will compliment these colors to create a lesbian pride flag when it’s finished. I am creating this colorway myself. Also visible are my 2.25mm crochet hook, a set of guitar-shaped scissors, and the light pink yarn I’m working with.
New day, same mandala?
I realized the last pattern required 60 rows and 60 divides nicely by 5, so I’ll make as many 5-stripe Pride flags as I can in this pattern.
This one will be a lesbian pride flag when it’s finished. I am creating this colorway myself. 🧶

A mandala crocheted from 100% cotton lies on a black desktop. It will be a pastel rainbow for gay pride when it’s done, but right now the center is pastel purple fading into pastel blue at the edge. A wood-handled 2.0mm crochet hook is also visible as I’m currently working on this one.
My most-recent crochet mandala has reached snowflake stage. Yay!

This mandala will become a gay pride rainbow flag, but right now it is only red at the center which fades into orange and has just become yellow at the edge. This pattern has a lot of small detail work that comes together to form larger fans, circles, and hexagons.
New day, new crochet mandala. I think this pattern is the most-detailed I use. I enjoy seeing the delicate stitches come together in larger, more complicated shapes. Treated myself to a 2.0mm hook for this one.
